SCEMD Disaster Drill - Hurricane

The ACFD Technical Rescue Team and Anderson County Sheriff's Office were requested to participate in the State Hurricane Disaster drill. Below is a few pictures.  We appreciate the opportunity to participate.

 

 0830 - Anderson County Sheriff’s UH-1H helicopter arrives at Columbia Metro Airport (CAE)  Eagle Aviation Terminal, with the Anderson City Technical Rescue Team  

 

0845 - Aircraft departs CAE enroute to St. Matthews Public Safety Center:              

 

0915 - Arrival at St. Matthews: coordinate with local officials; establish comm. links with State EOC.

091- Congaree Swamp Park Rangers request State support to conduct SAR  mission.  ESF #9 processes request in coordination with DNR  (Rural  SAR).  EMD comm. center passes support request to Anderson team, located in St. Matthews, via HF radio and satellite telephone.  Note: DNR  will provide a Wildlife Officer who will be the subject of the search along with a general description as to the search area

0945 - Anderson County Rescue Team begins SAR mission.  Upon locating subject they render simulated medical aid and report their position.  Rescue and recovery of the subject is not attempted. 

 

1145 - Anderson County Rescue Team returns to CAE and concludes SAR mission.
